Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede!
It is a very fun dinner show with horses, buffalo and good wholesome entertainment.

Meet Sylvia, she is from China, we met her at the Trolly Stop.  She is the traveling the US alone, wolfing (working, on local farms).  She worked at Dollywood to earn traveling money.  Her major is English, she and Megan made fast friends.

So many roller coasters and live entertainment, very fun, it was a great day.

This was the coolest ever; it is kinda like a zip line but you walk across various ropes and ladders, around rocks, levels and heights.
It was scary at first cause Meg and I are afraid of heights but we got better and this old man about 70 helped us.  John stayed on the ground.

They are 2, I was the single rider this time. 

That's Megan and I in the yellow convertable!  It was as fun as it looks, the radio in the car worked and played oldies.

Of course their was the replica of Dolly's childhood home and the Friends and Family of Dolly band, real homey.

ummm boy just look at those collard greens and beans, John says it would be enough to serve 10!

Dolly travels in style her "old" bus cost $750,000, very nice but her
new bus 2.5 million, we didn't get to go in that!

I don't think the Parton's are Irish but covering all the bases for those tourists!

Cool 1/2 hour train ride in a coal run train.  Extremely smokey and the ashes fly back onto the passengers, kinda scary ride.

This is the rock you have to scale around, it looked a lot higher when we were up there.

 

Of course it would not be an adventure without incident.  The motorhome keys liked it so well at Dollywood they stayed there.
Luckily we do have a spare....don't look, whew.  A nice salad and some yatzee to detox from all that "amuse" ment.
Thanks for following along, God is taking really good care of us. We miss you.  Sorry Julia Rose, Sally didn't get to come with us today.

On our way to the airport to get Megan.   Ooops...wrong airport unless
she is the pilot, no room for pasengers in these planes. 

All is well, it is a very scenic drive to the right airport.

Stuck in the mud at the Grand Ole Opry

We did the Nissan assembly line tour. It's monstrous. 5.2 million square feet under one roof. One mile long inside. It cost 2.5 Billion ans produces 2000 cars a day. It was fantastic!

Right in front of where we meet the tour I pulled up in the motorhome. Of course I drove right onto the dirt and sank. After much stress and embarrasment,I got out of there. They just redid the asphalt so my trail of mud down the parking lot was greatly apprecia
ted.

Took our niece out to lunch.

We maded it!  The Grand Ole Opry.

Everyone was excited to see Shannon.

Everything is cheaper out here.  Only $4.00 for a bottle of water.

We double dated for the Opry.

The Country Music Hall of Fame - Nashville

We went out on the town Sat night - lots of good
Country Western music...until 9 then all the kids
showed up and we think it was country but not sure.

On our way to Church...a nice Catholic Cathedral...we thought
on the way out we noticed it was an Episcopal...guess it has been
a while since John went to a Catholic Church.

The Country Western Hall of Fame...it was amazing, so much history in
music.  Did you know Dolly Pardon wrote and sang I will always love you
the one Whitney Houston made famous.  Dolly got her start on Hee-Haw!

Tomorrow we are going to try and tour the Nissan plant before
taking our neice to lunch, then we have tickets for the Grand Ole Opry. 
We found a pencil factory if we want to drive 20 miles out of the way..what do you think?
